Week 4, My dad and I

This week was the last week in the DSA scrap off.  I love participating, but then again, you already know that.  This week’s layout features the whole kit that was given out in portions over the past few weeks.  I struggled with these layouts, wanting them to be my best.  I am still not sure they are but I do love what I came up with once again.  It’s a photo of me and my dad, very over clustered but hopefully it isn’t too much.  My current score is 20.  The highest I saw was 23 and there are about 8-10 rated in that 5 point margin.  There were SO many good layouts this week!  Head on over to the gallery at DSA and check them out, leave some love while you are there.  You can click my image to go directly to my layout and tell me what you think, or leave a comment here!

Week 3 is for my Christopher Bear

We have quickly made it to week 3 of the DSA (Digi Scrap Addicts) 2010 Scrap off!  I enjoy these types of contests because I think it pushes me to be a better scrapper.  I love the layout I came up with this week.  It scraps a special moment of our lives in 2010 when we released balloons to send to our son on his birthday.  My mom, dad and one of my sisters came out too.

I resolve to life life…

Here’s my week 2 layout!  The DSA scrapoff is in full swing but I’ll have to admit.  I got worried this week that I wasn’t going to get my layout done.  I am a huge procrastinator just like my mom over at Oakleaf Hollow Prim.  I spent so much time on Thursday night watching Grey’s and Private Practice that bedtime arrived sooner vs. later.  On short notice, I decided to head out of town with my husband Friday.  Luckily, I got my layout done at the very last minute.  So here it is…. and I love it, hopefully you do too!

The kit I used is the Week 2 Mini Kit especially for this challenge.  I used the word art and chose to use my own photos.  This was the perfect layout to describe what I want out of 2010.  I want to live life to the fullest, enjoy life and enjoy every day.  I think it’s a great thing for us all.

I’ll be back soon with a freebie I’ve been working on!  :0)

Enjoy Every Moment

I wanted to share this layout with you because it is a truly inspiring thing if you think about it.  Enjoy every moment.  I chose to use this layout as my Week 1 DSA Scrap Off Layout.  Like the kit?  It’s a mini just for participants.  Actually, it’s several minis.  It’s really great!
In this layout in particular, we spent 9 days at Disney World, Orlando this past December.  Christmas at Disney World, what more can you ask for?  Well, I got a sinus infection, or at least, a reoccurance of a sinus infection.  By the 4th day of our trip, I was miserable.  Enjoy every moment was a great way to explain how I felt.  Despite being sick, I was still determined to enjoy every moment.

So in making this layout, I was inspired to remember that it isn’t just Christmas at Disney World you should enjoy, it’s “every moment”.  Every day to day moment with your husband, your kids, your pets, your family, your friends, your job, your free time, your nights, EVERYthing…. Enjoy every moment!

So, I’ll leave you with those inspiring words and get off my soapbox for the day.  The Bama/Horns game is getting very serious and I must “enjoy” every moment before it’s over despite that I don’t really root for either team.
